Join Open Hearts Art Center for our 9th Annual Talent Show at the Event Center at Highland Brewing Company, featuring music, dance, spoken word, original artwork, raffle items, food and drinks! This year, the artists of Open Hearts are bringing you a Totally 80s Talent Show, and 80s dress is encouraged for everyone in attendance. On top of the fabulous entertainment, each adult admission also includes food and a beverage of your choice. Highland Brewing will run a cash bar for additional beverages. Doors open 30 minutes prior to show.

Open Hearts Art Center is a supportive studio and gallery dedicated to representing and empowering adults with varied abilities to connect to and reach their full potential through the arts. It is a 501(c)(3), community-based program focused on supporting the individual needs of artists with the everyday goal of emphasizing each person's many and vast abilities while providing opportunities in visual and performing arts.

Open Hearts Art Center was developed by three women who had a passion for creating a program that combined their love for art with their desire to make a difference in the lives of differently-abled adults. Based on a holistic approach to habilitative care combined with the use of multiple forms of expression, Open Hearts Art Center has been serving adults with disabilities since June of 2005. With only a small amount of day programs for adults with intellectual disabilities in the western North Carolina area, and none that focused solely on the arts as a therapeutic approach, Open Hearts has been a one of a kind program for the members of our community.
